Lecture by Dan Ioppolo

Abstract:

Last week we heard about modern American constitutional theory. This week I plan
to look an alternative system for analyzing a political system which centers around
a completely different idea of what a constitution is. I will rely primarily on
Aristotle’s Politics and Constitution of Athens to illustrate the alternative view and
draw some comparisons and contrasts to the main themes in American
constitutional theory.
