The “Tea Room Lecture Series” encourages everyone to try their hand at giving a lecture even if, in fact especially if, you’ve never given a talk before. It can be about anything at all, in whatever format you want and (within reason) of whatever length. We’ve had talks ranging from Mathematical Logic to Food Science.

At the moment scheduling is pretty much first come, first served, with the caveats that fourth years about to graduate get priority and can have two talks a year if they want and first-time speakers are highly encouraged.

Please email tearoomlectures@gmail.com with either a statement of general interest or a title and abstract and we will work with you on scheduling a talk. It tends to be on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday afternoon, but essentially we give you a week and you pick the day and time during it.

People who don’t want to talk are invited to come listen!
